WHY WE BUILT LAUNCHPOINT
WE SAW A BETTER WAY WAS NEEDED.
In our work with students and families, we see capable, thoughtful students pulled into a system that values activity over direction and pressure over clarity.
Students are doing more and more, but understanding themselves less and less. Parents are handed checklists and timelines, but rarely a clear way to think about the bigger picture.
College planning has started to feel like a race instead of a process of growth.
We built LaunchPoint because we believe students deserve better than that. They deserve guidance that helps them understand who they are, what matters to them, and how to make choices that actually fit their lives.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
OUR WORK IS GUIDED BY A FEW SIMPLE BELIEFS:
We believe high school should be a time of purposeful growth, not just resume building.
We believe college planning should be a thinking process, not just a paperwork process.
We believe essays are more important and deserve serious attention, but they work best when they grow out of real clarity and real direction.
We believe students should understand their own story before they try to tell it to anyone else.
We believe families deserve guidance that is honest, calm, and grounded in what is actually best for their child.
HOW WE WORK
THOUGHTFUL, STRUCTURED, AND PERSONAL
We work through structured programs and small cohorts so we can give each student real attention and meaningful guidance. Some students begin with a focused essay experience.
Others work with us through a broader strategy process that includes narrative development, positioning, and applications.
No matter where a student starts, our goal is the same.
We want them to leave with more clarity, more confidence, and a stronger sense of direction.
WHAT THIS IS REALLY ABOUT
THIS IS ABOUT MORE THAN COLLEGE.
Applications matter.
But they only work when there’s something real behind them.
We help students build with intention so what they submit actually makes sense.
