Our job is not to build the busiest student. It is to help your family make thoughtful choices.

The question is not “What else should we add?” It is “What makes sense for this student now?”

How the College Strategy Session works

We do the thinking before your family joins the call.

Every College Strategy Session includes individualized analysis, a family strategy session with Jennifer and Heather, and a written roadmap.

Student and family questionnaire

We gather the academic, activity, interest, goal, and context information needed to understand the student.

LaunchPoint analysis

Jennifer and Heather identify the questions, priorities, and decisions that deserve attention.

30-minute family strategy session

We talk through priorities and clarify what matters next.

Within 5 business days after the session, your family receives a personalized roadmap with priorities and next steps.

Whether your student is in eighth grade, freshman or sophomore year, the College Strategy Session starts with who they are now and the decisions in front of them. No earlier LaunchPoint service is required.

What are we beginning to learn about the student?

Interests, possible majors or careers, relationships, summer opportunities, and emerging direction.

What if we did not start early?

Start with the student you have now.

Earlier planning gives families more time, but it does not mean every student needs to make every decision at once.

If your student is already in high school, we focus on the choices that still matter from this point forward.

We look at what is already there and build a practical plan around the student you have now.

Wherever your student is now, that is where we start.

What to expect.

What grades does the College Strategy Session cover?
The session is designed for students in grades 8–10. We tailor the review and roadmap to the student's current academic picture, interests, goals, and decisions ahead.

Is this an ongoing annual package?
No. The College Strategy Session is a one-time service. Your family can start here without purchasing an earlier LaunchPoint service.
What if my student is a junior?
The LaunchPoint Path page focuses on grades 8–10. Junior families can explore the services currently available on our Junior and Senior Services page.
Do we meet with Jennifer and Heather?
Yes. Jennifer and Heather personally review the student's information and conduct the 30-minute virtual family strategy session.
What happens after the strategy session?
Your family receives a personalized written roadmap within 5 business days after the strategy session.
Does this tell my student exactly what clubs or activities to join?
Not as a generic checklist. Recommendations are based on the individual student, their interests, and their current priorities.
