LaunchPoint Consulting LLC Service Agreement
Please read this agreement carefully before purchasing services from LaunchPoint Consulting LLC. By purchasing services from LaunchPoint Consulting LLC, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms outlined below.
Client Services Agreement
This Client Services Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between LaunchPoint Consulting LLC ("LaunchPoint," "Company," "we," or "us") and the parent or legal guardian completing registration ("Client," "you," or "your") on behalf of the participating student ("Student").
This Agreement becomes effective upon the Client's acceptance of these terms during registration and completion of payment for LaunchPoint services. By registering for the Personal Statement Intensive, the Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement.
1. Scope of Services
The LaunchPoint Personal Statement Intensive is a cohort-based program designed to help students develop a compelling and authentic Common Application personal statement.
The program includes:
• One live 3-hour virtual Personal Statement Intensive workshop
• One individual 30-minute strategy session with a LaunchPoint consultant
• Written feedback on one personal statement draft
• One final polish review of the student's personal statement prior to submission
The goal of the program is to help students identify meaningful essay topics, develop a clear essay direction, strengthen content and structure, and produce a polished personal statement that reflects the student's own experiences, voice, and perspective.
Services provided through the Personal Statement Intensive are limited to the components listed above. Additional essay coaching, supplemental essay support, application strategy services, or other consulting services are not included unless purchased separately.
Workshop sessions are conducted virtually through Google Meet or another platform designated by LaunchPoint.
2. Services Not Included
The following services are not included in the Personal Statement Intensive unless purchased separately:
• Supplemental essay coaching or review
• Common Application activities, honors, or additional information review
• College selection, college list development, or admissions strategy consulting
• Scholarship essay coaching or review
• Ongoing essay coaching beyond the written feedback and final polish review included in the program
• Unlimited revisions, editing, meetings, or email support
LaunchPoint may offer additional services separately. Participation in the Personal Statement Intensive does not include or guarantee access to any additional services.
3. Fees and Payment
Client agrees to pay the program fee in effect at the time of registration for the LaunchPoint Personal Statement Intensive.
Payment is due in full at the time of registration. A student's seat in the selected cohort is not reserved until payment has been successfully received.
Because enrollment is limited and LaunchPoint reserves a seat for each registered student, refunds are not available once the student has participated in the live workshop.
Requests for cancellation prior to the workshop date may be submitted in writing and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis at LaunchPoint's sole discretion.
LaunchPoint reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a cohort due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, Client will be offered the option to transfer to another available cohort or receive a full refund.
Failure to attend the scheduled workshop does not automatically entitle Client to a refund, credit, transfer, or make-up session. Any requests related to missed sessions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis at LaunchPoint's sole discretion.
4. No Guarantee of Admission
Client and Student acknowledge and agree that LaunchPoint makes no promise, guarantee, or warranty — express or implied — that working with LaunchPoint will result in admission, acceptance, or any scholarship or other outcome at any college, university, or program, including the Student's first-choice or top-choice school. Admissions decisions are made solely by the institutions to which the Student applies and depend on many factors outside LaunchPoint's control, including the Student's academic record, test scores, extracurricular activities, recommendations, and each institution's admissions criteria in a given year. LaunchPoint's role is limited to the essay coaching services described in Section 1, and the Fee is paid for the services provided by LaunchPoint, not for any particular admissions result.
5. Client and Student Responsibilities
Client and Student agree to actively participate in the Personal Statement Intensive and complete any required preparation requested by LaunchPoint prior to the workshop.
Student is responsible for:
• Completing all required pre-session forms and reflection activities before the workshop date
• Attending the scheduled workshop and individual strategy session
• Reviewing feedback provided by LaunchPoint
• Completing any writing or revision work assigned as part of the program
Student agrees that all essays submitted as part of the college application process will be the Student's own original work, written in the Student's own words and voice.
LaunchPoint provides coaching, guidance, and feedback. LaunchPoint does not write essays on the Student's behalf. Any sample language, suggested phrasing, or model material provided by LaunchPoint is for instructional purposes only and may not be copied or submitted as the Student's own work.
Client and Student are solely responsible for ensuring that all submitted application materials comply with the academic integrity, honor code, and admissions policies of the institutions to which the Student applies.
Failure to complete required pre-session materials may limit the effectiveness of the program and the individualized guidance LaunchPoint is able to provide.
6. Ownership of Materials
The Student's essays, personal stories, experiences, reflections, and ideas remain the Student's property.
All LaunchPoint materials, including but not limited to workshop content, presentations, frameworks, templates, worksheets, exercises, examples, guides, and instructional resources, remain the sole property of LaunchPoint Consulting LLC.
These materials are provided solely for the personal use of the Client and Student in connection with LaunchPoint services and may not be copied, distributed, reproduced, shared, sold, published, or used for any commercial purpose without the prior written consent of LaunchPoint.
Nothing in this Agreement transfers ownership of LaunchPoint's intellectual property to the Client or Student.
7. Confidentiality
LaunchPoint will make reasonable efforts to maintain the confidentiality of personal, academic, and family information shared by Client or Student in connection with the services provided under this Agreement.
LaunchPoint will not knowingly disclose such information to third parties except:
• As reasonably necessary to provide services to the Student;
• With the Client's consent;
• As required by law; or
• As necessary to protect the safety or well-being of the Student or others.
Client and Student acknowledge that electronic communications and virtual meeting platforms, while generally secure, cannot be guaranteed to be completely free from unauthorized access or security risks.
8. Term, Cancellation, and Refunds
This Agreement becomes effective upon registration and payment and remains in effect until the services described in Section 1 have been completed.
Because enrollment in the Personal Statement Intensive is limited and LaunchPoint reserves a seat for each registered student, refunds are not available once the Student has participated in the live workshop.
Requests for cancellation prior to the workshop date may be submitted in writing and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis at LaunchPoint's sole discretion.
Failure to attend the scheduled workshop does not automatically entitle Client to a refund, credit, transfer, or make-up session. Any requests related to missed sessions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis at LaunchPoint's sole discretion.
LaunchPoint reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or reschedule a workshop due to insufficient enrollment, illness, emergency, technical issues, or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, Client will be offered the option to transfer to another available cohort or receive a full refund.
If a Student is unable to attend the selected cohort, LaunchPoint may, at its sole discretion and subject to availability, offer a transfer to a future cohort.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LaunchPoint Consulting LLC's total liability to Client arising out of or relating to this Agreement or the services provided under this Agreement shall not exceed the amount paid by Client for the applicable program or service.
LaunchPoint shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to damages related to admissions outcomes, scholarship decisions, lost opportunities, lost profits, emotional distress, or other losses arising from or related to participation in LaunchPoint services.
Client acknowledges that participation in LaunchPoint services is voluntary and that all decisions regarding college applications, admissions, scholarships, and educational opportunities remain the sole responsibility of Client and Student.
10. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
11. Entire Agreement
This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between LaunchPoint and Client regarding the services described herein and supersedes any prior discussions or agreements, written or oral. This Agreement may be amended only in writing signed by both parties.
12. Agreement to Terms
By checking the required agreement box during registration and completing payment, Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement.
Client further acknowledges that they are the parent or legal guardian of the participating Student and have the authority to enter into this Agreement on the Student's behalf.
Electronic acceptance of this Agreement through LaunchPoint's registration and checkout process shall have the same force and effect as a signed written agreement.
