College Strategy Session Service Agreement
LaunchPoint Consulting, LLC
By purchasing the College Strategy Session, the purchaser agrees to the following terms.
1. Scope of Service
The College Strategy Session is an individualized educational planning service for students in grades 8–10. It helps families consider the student’s academic pathway, interests, activities, and grade-appropriate next steps.
The service includes:
A student reflection questionnaire
LaunchPoint’s review of the information provided
One focused virtual family strategy meeting
A personalized Strategic Profile™ and grade-specific written roadmap
For eighth-grade students, the session may address high-school, academy, Program of Interest, and freshman course-path options. For students in grades 9–10, it may address course choices, appropriate academic rigor, interests, activities, leadership, summer planning, and preparation for the next school year.
The service does not include ongoing advising, unlimited follow-up, application completion, school enrollment, course registration, or representation before a school or school district unless separately agreed to in writing.
2. Family Responsibilities
The family agrees to provide complete and accurate information about the student, including academics, interests, activities, schools or programs being considered, and relevant questions or concerns.
The family is responsible for:
Completing the questionnaire accurately and in a timely manner
Attending the scheduled strategy meeting
Reviewing the written roadmap
Verifying current school, district, course, zoning, and Program of Interest information before making final decisions
Making all final educational and enrollment decisions for the student
LaunchPoint may base its recommendations on information supplied by the family. Incomplete or inaccurate information may affect the usefulness of the strategy provided.
3. District Information and Independent Status
LaunchPoint Consulting, LLC is an independent educational consulting business. It is not affiliated with, employed by, or endorsed by any school or school district.
School zoning, Program of Interest offerings, eligibility rules, course availability, transportation policies, application procedures, and district requirements may change. LaunchPoint may reference publicly available information as part of the service, but the family is responsible for confirming current requirements directly with the applicable school or district.
4. No Guarantees
LaunchPoint does not guarantee acceptance or placement in any school, academy, or Program of Interest; availability of any particular course; approval of an out-of-zone placement; specific academic outcomes; or future college admission, scholarships, financial aid, or other outcomes.
Recommendations are based on the information available at the time of the service and are intended to support informed family decision-making. Final decisions regarding school placement, course availability, eligibility, and enrollment are controlled by the applicable school or district.
5. Payment and Refunds
Payment of $295 is due in full at the time of purchase.
Because this is a personalized service that includes review and preparation, the service becomes nonrefundable once LaunchPoint begins reviewing the completed questionnaire or otherwise begins individualized preparation.
Cancellation requests received before individualized review begins may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
If LaunchPoint is unable to provide the purchased service, the family will be offered an appropriate rescheduling option or refund.
6. Scheduling and Missed Meetings
After the required questionnaire is received, LaunchPoint will coordinate the family strategy meeting. Families are responsible for attending the scheduled meeting.
A missed meeting does not automatically qualify for a refund, credit, transfer, or replacement meeting. Requests related to missed or rescheduled meetings will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
LaunchPoint may reschedule a meeting when necessary due to illness, emergency, technical problems, or other unforeseen circumstances.
7. Written Strategic Profile and Roadmap
The Strategic Profile™ and roadmap reflect the information reviewed and discussed as part of the purchased service. LaunchPoint will deliver them within five business days after the strategy meeting.
The materials are intended for the student and family’s personal educational-planning use. Recommendations may need to be reconsidered if the student’s academic situation, interests, course options, school choices, district policies, or other relevant circumstances change.
8. Confidentiality
LaunchPoint will use reasonable efforts to keep personal, academic, and family information confidential. Information may be used as necessary to provide the purchased service or disclosed when required by law, with the family’s consent, or when necessary to address a legitimate safety concern.
Although LaunchPoint uses reasonable care when communicating electronically and using virtual platforms, no electronic method of communication can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. Educational Consulting Only
The College Strategy Session provides educational planning and strategy. LaunchPoint does not make decisions on behalf of the student or family and does not replace guidance provided by the student’s school counselor, school administration, school district, or other qualified professionals.
The family remains responsible for determining which recommendations to follow.
10. Acceptance of Agreement
By completing this purchase, the purchaser acknowledges that they have reviewed and agree to this Service Agreement, including the scope, family responsibilities, refund terms, and limitations described above.
Electronic acceptance has the same effect as acceptance of a written agreement.
