Help the person writing the letter see the student you know.
Your free Letter of Recommendation Brag Sheet is ready. Use it to give a recommender specific details, examples, experiences, and context they may not know from the classroom alone.

Specific beats impressive.
A useful brag sheet is not a list of adjectives. Instead of trying to prove that a student is hardworking, responsible, curious, or kind, think about the experiences that actually show those qualities.
Give the recommender details they can use. Think about growth, challenges, classroom moments, responsibilities, interests, contributions, and experiences that help explain who this student is.
Sometimes the hard part is not filling out the brag sheet.
It is figuring out which experiences actually matter, what they say about the student, and how all of those pieces should come together across the college application.
“We’re realizing we have more questions than we thought.”
Maybe the brag sheet raised questions about activities. Maybe the essay still feels uncertain. Maybe the Common App is underway, but you are not sure whether the pieces work together. Or maybe this is your first time through the process and you are not even sure what you should be asking.
Start with the part of senior year that feels unclear. College list, personal statement, Common App, supplemental essays, or a final review before Submit. We will help you identify the right place to begin.
Some families need help with one specific piece. Others need more guidance. We will not recommend more support than we think you need.
Application almost finished?
If your senior is much further along and you mainly want experienced eyes on the application before Submit, start with the LaunchPoint Common App Quick Check. Jennifer and Heather review the Activities section, Personal Statement, and Additional Information if used, then tell you what is working, what may need attention, and the #1 thing to address before submitting.
