A college list is about more than admission chances.
As you fill out the sheet, look beyond the name of the school. Compare the things that could actually affect your student’s experience, options, and cost.
You may also start noticing that some colleges are difficult to compare. That is useful information too.
Comparing colleges is easier than deciding which ones belong on the list.
A spreadsheet can organize the information. It cannot tell you how academics, testing, cost, interests, preferences, and the student’s individual situation should come together in a thoughtful college list.
“We have a lot of college names. We’re just not sure which ones actually make sense.”
Maybe the list keeps getting longer. Maybe most of the schools feel like reaches. Maybe you are unsure whether you are missing good options. Or maybe everyone has an opinion and you need a clearer way to sort through it.
We look at the individual student, including academics, goals, interests, preferences, testing context, and the kind of college experience they are looking for. Then we build a thoughtful list of up to 12 colleges with clear reasoning behind the recommendations.
The goal is not simply to hand you more college names. It is to help your family understand why each school deserves a place on the list.
Keep going. We’ll help you keep track of what matters along the way.
