Before you start

The goal of the first hour is not to finish the application.

It is to get comfortable inside the Common App, understand what it is asking for, and begin organizing the information your senior will need.

Some sections are straightforward. Others require decisions about what to include, what to leave out, and how to use limited space well.

Do not rush just because a section looks simple. Completing the Common App and using it thoughtfully are two different things.
When filling it out becomes the easy part

The harder questions usually come after you get started.

Which activities should go first? What belongs in Additional Information? How should honors be presented? What should you report about testing? Those choices depend on the individual student.

Common App Strategy & Support

“We can fill it out. We’re just not sure we’re making the right choices.”

That is where personalized Common App guidance can make a difference. You send us the student’s materials, such as a résumé or list of activities and honors, and we review what is actually there.

We help you think through the parts that are not just data entry.

We review the student’s information, ask targeted clarification questions when needed, and prepare personalized recommendations for presenting the student clearly and accurately throughout the Common App.

You still complete the application. The difference is that you are no longer making every decision on your own.
