Questions families ask
Where should we begin?
When should we start college planning?
For grades 8–10, start with the choices in front of your student: courses, high-school programs, interests, and involvement. Juniors and seniors can focus on college lists, personal statements, and applications. We tailor the starting point to the student's year and needs.
Do you meet with St. Johns County families in person?
Our services are virtual. Families can work directly with Jennifer and Heather without traveling across the county.
Can you help with St. Johns County academy decisions?
Yes. Our College Strategy Session for grades 8–10 can include academy and high-school considerations when relevant. Start with the free Academy Guide to identify questions, then explore personalized help if your family needs it.
Do students write their own college essays?
Yes. Students write their drafts and make revisions. We help with topic development, structure, clarity, and feedback while preserving the student's voice.
What if we only need a Common App review?
The $29 Common App Quick Check is a focused diagnostic for seniors with drafted materials. It includes a concise readiness report within 24–48 hours after all required materials are received. Editing and detailed revision support are separate services.
